Pages are compiled with AI assistance from named public sources. Most facts have not been independently verified. A person decides what is published. How that works is on the how we use AI page. Each page shows when it was last checked and its review status. A page marked draft has not had clinical review.
Which sources do we use?
We prefer primary and authoritative sources: national health services, public health agencies, surveillance centres, trial registries and peer-reviewed papers. We list the sources for each page so that you can open them. Our current draft charter says that every public claim is meant to show its source and a last-checked date, and that a claim which has not been verified is labelled or left out.
What does verified mean here?
Verified means that a strong source was read in full and confirmed the statement. Most facts on the site have not reached that standard. Please treat them as compiled from the listed sources and check anything important with those sources or with a professional.
Trial status, eligibility, dates, sites and figures can go out of date quickly. We intend to check them against a source read in full before calling them verified, and to recheck trial status within 7 days. Please confirm any trial detail with the registry or the study team.
Who reviews the pages?
No clinical reviewer or genetic counsellor has been named yet, and no lawyer has reviewed the site. We intend people to approve every high-stakes page, and we intend a clinical reviewer to advise on clinical pages once one is in place.
What happens when sources disagree?
We intend to show the disagreement so that you can see it.
What do we never publish?
We do not write about patients or families. Named people appear only in sourced public professional roles. Nobody can pay to appear, to change a page or to be placed higher.
How do we correct mistakes?
Please write to corrections@thegenerativebrain.org with the page and the problem. We intend to fix errors or take the page down within 7 days, and sooner for anything that could cause harm, and to log corrections publicly. Please do not send health details about yourself or anyone else.
