Who pays for the site?
The founder pays for it personally. We take no outside funding at this stage, so that no funder can influence the content.
Does the site make money?
No. We intend to carry no advertising, sponsored content or paid placement, and to take no equity investors. It intends never to sell or license data.
Can I donate?
The site has no way to donate, and we do not intend to run a donation platform. If you would like to give, we point people to the Prion Alliance and the CJD Foundation. They are separate organisations and we do not handle gifts for them.
Who can influence what the pages say?
We intend that no partner, funder or company can influence its rankings or claims. Partner organisations can correct errors and link to the site, on the same terms as anyone else. Corrections go to corrections@thegenerativebrain.org.
Are there any conflicts of interest?
We take no money from pharmaceutical, diagnostic, insurance or AI companies, and nobody behind the site holds a paid role or stake in any company or trial described here. The site is funded personally by its founder, and nobody is paid according to what the pages say.
We use commercial AI tools to research and draft pages, and we pay for them at normal rates. Those companies have no say over the content. Some are named on the site where they are relevant to research.
The people behind this project have a personal motivation to see prevention and treatments found. That motivation shapes what we work on. It does not change how we report evidence.
We will update this statement if any of this changes.
Is the project linked to a company?
We intend to stay separate from any company’s systems, data, customers and staff time.
Questions about funding can go to hello@thegenerativebrain.org.
